Drury Cup I

September 21, 2017 - Trustee Science Center

The inaugural Drury Cup scholastic team competition got off to a dynamic start with 25 players and four teams competing from the Springfield area. Led by Brayden Miao, Clark's Kids finished ahead of some tough competition from the Summit Preparatory School, followed by the Sertoma Boys & Girls Club (Sherwood Elementary) team, and the Henderson Boys & Girls Club team.

Thank you to all the volunteers, the parents, and supervisors that chipped in, for making the event a fun and exciting morning of chess. And finally, thank you to Bill and Janet Williams for financial support that made the tournament and other events possible.
