Drury Cup II

March 1, 2018 - Trustee Science Center

The second Drury Cup scholastic team competition featured 32 players and four teams competing from the Springfield area. Led by Jianing Ren, Ivan Hou, and Kai Schaefer, Clark's Kids finished ahead of some tough competition from the Summit Preparatory School, followed by the Brentwoods (Schweitzer Brentwood Library team), and the Weller Elementary team.

Thank you to all the volunteers (Gabby, Zac, & Ed), the parents, and supervisors that chipped in, for making the event a fun and exciting afternoon of chess. And finally, thank you to Bill and Janet Williams for financial support that made the tournament and other events possible.
