2019 July PCL Quads & Small Swiss

Park Central Library

The second Chess on the Square event in conjunction with the First Friday Art Walk featured 14 players, (unfortunately 3 additional players missed the start deadline and 1 had to withdraw), 8 family member supporters, and one past player (Shorty) who might start playing on Fridays again. The first quad was won on tiebreaks by Ed Rysal (2.0), the second by Ben Lewis (3.0) going undefeated, and the small swiss was won by Dylan Fowler (3.0) who also went undefeated. A big congratulations to all three and thank you to all the players and supporters.

And thank you to Bill and Janet Williams for the financial support that made the tournament and other events possible.

A special thank you to the Park Central Library and the players / supporters who chipped in to help setup beforehand and breakdown afterward. Without your help, the tournaments wouldn't be possible. And of course, thank you to the Library for great cookies and coffee!
